17. ACCOUNT TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION
17.1 User-Initiated Termination
Users may close their accounts at any time by:
- Using account settings to initiate closure

- Following the account deletion process
Upon account closure:
- Access to the account will be terminated
- Profile will be removed from public view
- Personal data will be deleted or anonymized per our retention policy
- Subscription fees will not be refunded for mid-cycle cancellations
17.2 Platform-Initiated Suspension
Links4Jobs may suspend accounts for:
- Policy violations
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Security concerns
- Pending investigation of reported violations
- Non-payment of fees
During suspension, Users may not access their accounts but can contact support regarding the suspension.
17.3 Platform-Initiated Termination
Links4Jobs may terminate accounts for:
- Serious or repeated Policy violations
- Illegal activity
- Fraud or misrepresentation
- Violation of intellectual property rights
- Harm to other Users or the platform
- Inactivity (typically after 24 months with notice)
17.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- All rights to use the Platform cease immediately
- Outstanding fees become immediately due
- User content may be deleted (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Users may not create new accounts without permission
- Certain provisions of these Policies survive termination (IP rights, dispute resolution, limitations of liability)
17.5 Data After Termination
Following account termination:
- Personal data deleted within 90 days (except as required for legal compliance)
- Anonymized data may be retained for analytics
- Users can request expedited deletion where legally required
- Backups may contain data for up to 90 additional days
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Links4Jobs does not guarantee:
- Job placement or hiring outcomes
- Specific number of applications, interviews, or job offers
- Quality of job opportunities or candidates
- Accuracy of user-provided information
- Continuous, uninterrupted platform availability
18.3 Third-Party Conduct
Links4Jobs is not responsible for:
- Conduct of employers, recruiters, or other Users
- Employment decisions made by employers
- Accuracy of job postings or profiles
- Offline interactions between Users
- Third-party websites or services linked from the Platform
18.4 Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Links4Jobs' total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of:
- The amount paid by the User to Links4Jobs in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
- £100 GBP / €100 EUR / $100 USD (as applicable)
Links4Jobs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
18.5 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Policies excludes or limits liability:
- For death or personal injury caused by negligence
- For fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- For any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law
- For statutory consumer rights under UK or EU law
18.6 Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Links4Jobs, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

20.2 Background Checks and Screening
When conducting background checks, employers must:
- Obtain written consent from candidates (where required)
